| I made two batches of Christmas cookies before 8am. No, seriously.
And I am not on speed. Though I do have lots of espresso in my system, which is slightly similar, except the withdrawal symptoms are slightly less drastic.
Also, I am not aspiring to be Martha Stuart.
Woke up at 4:45am, made it to Back Bay by 6. Started setting up the pastry case at my Starbucks. And then when a fourth employee showed up (late) Kara, the supervisor checked the schedule, as that is one too many employees for an opening shift. Sadly, the schedule showed that I am NOT in fact opening this morning. I am opening tomorrow. So much for a day of catching up on sleep. I was planning on baking cookies for my Christmas party tomorrow. I am baking them now. Have to get it several batches before I go to my cooking job.
Alright, so maybe I am a Martha in training.
Now I have gingerbread in the oven. I wonder if the smell will wake up Sarah? Not a bad way to wake up.
Maybe I'll have some gingerbread for breakfast. Beats Cheerios. |

| Scene: I hand the cashier my basket, which contains a bag of apples, two bananas and Trader Joe O's.
Cashier: That will be $6.66. Are you sure you don't want to buy another banana? |

| Tonight the board of the boardinghouse came over, so I made dinner for 35 people. It's nice to know that I can singlehandedly pull off a meal that large.
But I am exhausted. |

| Putting on pajamas right after they come out of the dryer is the next best thing to getting a hug. |
